New Delhi: A couple and their four children were found dead under mysterious circumstances at their home in Rajasthan’s Udaipur district today, police said.
Udaipur SP Vikas Sharma said preliminary investigations suggest that the head of the family in Jhandoli village first killed the children and his wife and then committed suicide by hanging himself.
The bodies of the family head Prakash alias Pappu Gameti and his three sons Ganesh (5), Pushkar (4) and Roshan (2) were found hanging, while the bodies of his wife Durga and four-month-old Gangaram were lying on the bed, police said.
The incident came to light this morning when Prakash’s brother visited his house.
He informed the family’s neighbours about the incident and then the police were informed.
Prakash used to work in Gujarat and returned to Udaipur some days ago. The financial condition of his house was not good and he was stressed over this, his family told the police.
The further investigation is underway into the matter.
