Vancouver: Condemning sky-rocketing inflation, the prices of food items, houses and fuel, Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre said that it seems that the whole system in the country has collapsed down at this time under Liberal government led by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

Pierre Poilievre said this in front of the media on Wednesday, “At present, the country has the highest inflation in 40 years, forcing 35-year-olds to live in the basement of their parents’ homes and fuel prices have gone up by 100 per cent,” he said.

He said, “The Liberal government and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau are responsible for all this.”

He also stressed that all these troubles could be relieved if the Conservative government comes to power.

Speaking to reporters at a Vancouver supermarket on Wednesday, Poilievre also questioned the rise in drug abuse, crime and the increasing number of homeless people. “We can’t sit with our hands on our hands and see it,” he said. We have to get the country back on track. Therefore, we have to control the expenditure being done by the government and also control inflation.”

He also said that all this can be done due to changes in federal policy and this is possible only when the reins of power fall into the hands of the Conservatives.
