Amritsar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday visited Dera Radha Soami in Amritsar’s Beas and met Dera chief Baba Gurinder Singh Dhillon.

The Prime Minister was accorded a grand welcome on his arrival at Adampur airbase. He then left for Dera Beas by helicopter. The Prime Minister met Dera Beas Chief Baba Gurinder Singh Dhillon and he also visited the Dera.

During this time, the PM Modi also reached Sangat Bhawan and interacted with the Dera followers present there. Dera chief Baba Gurinder Singh Dhillon briefed Prime Minister Modi about the activities of the Dera.

A video of the two sitting in the room talking has also surfaced. Though, no official information about PM’s visit has been disclosed but it is linked to forthcoming Himachal Pradesh Assembly elections.

Dera Beas has considerable influence in Punjab as well as Himachal Pradesh. There are a large number of followers of Dera Beas in Himachal Pradesh. Earlier, Rahul Gandhi had also visited here to seek blessings.
