Chandigarh: Police have nabbed five gangsters after a search operation over for 7 hours at Chak Jandu village under Bhogpur sub-division in Jalandhar district of Punjab
Jalandhar Superintendent of Police Sarabjit Singh Bahia said three suspects have been rounded up. All five will be questioned for now.

The heavy police force were deployed around the village and searches were being conducted everywhere from the village to the sugarcane fields. Police received information about some armed suspects hiding in the village. Some police personnel on duty said the gangsters had also fired in the morning. But officials are not confirming this either.
SP Bahia, who handled the operation, said that they had received inputs during the investigation of a case that the gangster was living by renting a residence in Chak Jhandu village of Bhogpur. The SP said the arrested gangsters are also wanted by the Delhi Police. Three weapons were also recovered from the arrested gangsters.
As soon as the information was received, the Police rushed to the village in the early hours with heavy police force and cordoned off the village.
A few days ago, the Rural Police of Jalandhar had also nabbed armed gangsters in Phillaur. These arrested gangsters were going to commit the crime. On the way, they had looted the motorcycle of a farmer who was going towards his fields for the incident. It was the farmer who immediately laid siege to the armed men and nabbed them with assistant of police from the sugarcane fields.
