CHANDIGARH: Punjab Congress president Amarinder Singh Raja Warring today condemned Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for resorting to “competitive Hindutva” to outwit the Bharatiya Janata Party in Gujarat.

“After failing with his competitive populism, Kejirwal is now resorting to competitive Hindutva to win Gujarat”, Warring said, while remarking, “but he will fail again, for sure as people are wise enough to read into his desperate designs”.

Taking a dig at the Delhi Chief Minister for his demand that the currency notes should depict the pictures of Goddess Laxmi and Lord Ganesha, Warring said, people of India, more so Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh are too wise to get carried away by his fake religiosity.

The PCC president said, after failing to fool the people of Gujarat and HP by his fake claims about Punjab, the Delhi Chief Minister had adopted a new stratagem apparently to show himself as more Hindutva oriented and inclined than even the BJP. “Even the BJP is not as blunt as Kejriwal in propagating Hindutva for votes”, he remarked.

Warring said, it was no secret that Kejriwal was parroting and pursuing the Hindutva agenda only and now he had proved it himself. Besides, he added, the criminal silence of the Aam Aadmi Party leaders like Kejriwal over the release of Bilkis Bano’s rapists also shows that the AAP is only the B-team of the BJP and it can never dare to speak against its ideology.

The PCC president asked the Punjab AAP leaders to spell out their stand on the issue as whether they also agree with Kejriwal’s demand for depicting pictures of Goddess Laxmi and Lord Ganesha on currency notes.
