New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), which is investigating the new liquor policy case of Delhi, is questioning Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia today. Delhi Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena has recommended a CBI probe into irregularities in the liquor policy.
Aam Aadmi Party workers protested near the CBI headquarters against the questioning and were detained during this time.
Around 100 AAP leaders and workers have been detained from the CBI headquarters. During this, Sanjay Singh has suffered an injury in his hand.
In the excise scam case, the CBI had called Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia for questioning. After receiving the summons, Manish Sisodia wrote in his tweet that a 14-hour CBI raid was conducted at his house, but nothing came out. Nothing was found in his locker or anywhere.
The Delhi police imposed Section 144 and deployed heavy police force outside CBI office.
Earlier, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday dubbed his government’s fight against the Centre as the “second freedom struggle” and equated Sisodia and Satyendar Jain with Shaheed Bhagat Singh.
