Chandigarh: The government hospital authorities in Gurdaspur have banned the entry of media personnel in the entire premises, quoting another controversy for the Aam Aadmi Party government, which are already facing allegations of snooping journalists in Sangrur.
Notices have been put up at various places in the hospital, declaring that media cannot enter the hospital premises.
Gurdaspur Civil Surgeon said the matter is not under his knowledge that such notices have been put up in the hospital. He said that he will inquire the matter and if this happend, these notices will be removed immediately.
Govt embroiled in snooping on journalists in Sangrur
Earlier, the AAP government in Punjab has been surrounded by controversy for allegedly snooping on journalists in Sangrur.
Sangrur is the home district of CM Bhagwant Mann. Here the details of journalists were sought through the Crime Investigation Department (CID). Journalists were directly called and asked for their media institutions, I-cards and even home addresses. However, after the ruckus on the following some journalists objected to it, the government stepped back.
