Ahmedabad: Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, who is on a two-day visit to Gujarat along with Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, claimed that the BJP had offered him the chief minister’s post, but kept the condition that it would have to break the Aam Aadmi Party.

Addressing reporters in Ahmedabad, Sisodia said the envoy who came to him had put forth two offers on behalf of the BJP.

“The first offer was that all the cases registered by the CBI-ED will be withdrawn,” the AAP leader claimed. The second offer was that I will have to break the party and BJP will make me the chief minister. “I unequivocally said to him that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is my political guru and I have learnt the lesson of politics from him. I did not come into politics to become CM or PM.

Sisodia asserted that all the allegations against him were false and he would not bow down to “conspirators and corrupt people”. Sisodia is one of the 15 persons and entities against whom the CBI has registered an FIR for alleged irregularities in the implementation of the Delhi Excise Policy.

Sisodia said, “I have received a message from the BJP – quit AAP and join BJP. We will ensure that all the cases registered against you by the CBI and the ED are withdrawn.

The Deputy Chief Minister said in Hindi,” I am a Rajput and a descendant of Maharana Pratap. I am ready to cut off my head, but will not bow down to conspirators and corrupt people. The cases registered against me are false. Do what you want to do.”
