Ottawa: German chancellor Olaf Scholz arrived in Canada for his 3-day official visit in the country from today.
Scholz’s visit includes scheduled stops in Toronto and Stephenville in western Newfoundland.
He is accompanied by vice-chancellor Robert Habeck throughout his tour.
Earlier, Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland greeted them at Montreal-Trudeau International Airport.
The chancellor and PM Justin Trudeau would discuss the war in Ukraine and also to sign a deal for Canada to supply clean hydrogen to Germany.
