Chandigarh: A six-year-old boy, Harudaveer Singh, was shot dead by two unidentified men riding a bullet motorcycle in Kotli Kalan village near here.

Jaspreet Singh, a resident of Kotli Kalan, was on his way home with his son Harudayveer Singh (6) and daughter Navseerat Kaur when suddenly two men came on a bullet motorcycle and opened fire, Mansa DSP Sanjeev Goel said.

According to the police, it seems that the bullets may have been fired at Jaspreet Singh, but his victim has become innocent child.

After the incident, the father immediately took his child to the civil hospital. But the doctors declared him dead. Police have kept the body in the mortuary of the Civil Hospital in Mansa. The post-mortem of the 6-year-old child will be done on Friday morning.

After the incident, the police reached the spot and the civil hospital. Police said that the case will be solved soon.

The police have intensified the blockade in the area after registering a case. However, no arrest has been made so far.
