Amritsar: The 39th anniversary of Operation Blue Star has been observed at the Golden Temple in Amritsar, Punjab. During this, Jathedar Giani Harpreet Singh also gave a message to the community. Jathedar said that it is need of the hour that all Sikhs must unite and if they gather, they can also coerce government to bow down.
Giani Harpreet Singh said that the wounds given by the government will never be healed, these wounds are very deep. It is not right to have any expectations from the governments. “There have been many instances in our history in which gurus have said that it is foolish to rule. It is not that Sikhs are weak, but our power is dwindled and divided. All. Sikhs must unite.”
“Today, many of our institutions have been acting on the behest of the government. Today the whole sect is gathered here, I will ask you that we all come together,” he added.
He said massacre of 1984 strengthens the Sikhs further. The more they remind us about, the stronger we will become. He said the families of Sikhs killed during the Blue Star operation will be honoured.
