617  new cases of COVID-19 and 18 deaths have been reported in British Columbia on Jan 08.

Dr. Bonnie Henry, provincial health officer of British Columbia said, “There are 6,118 active cases of COVID-19 in the province. There are 358 individuals currently hospitalized with COVID-19, 75 of whom are in intensive care. “

So far, 56,632 people have been tested positive for COVID- 19 and  48,205 have been recovered. 988 people have died from COVID- 19 In British Columbia.

“We all want our efforts to count and have an impact that will last. We will get through this and things will get better. Show your friends and neighbours they can count on you to make the right choices, every day, and together we will see brighter days once again.” said Bonnie Henry.

“As new COVID-19 cases continue to emerge in communities throughout the province, we must all recommit to our efforts to slow down transmission”, Bonnie Added.
