New Delhi: Launching a recruitment drive for 10 lakh workers today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi today said the 100-year problem of unemployment and self-employment cannot be solved in 100 days. The government is focusing on expansion on manufacturing, tourism, as they create a lot of jobs.

He said, “The crisis of over 1.5 crore jobs was averted with the Centre’s help of over Rs 3 lakh crore to the MSME sector during the Covid pandemic: PM Narendra Modi,” he said.
Appointment letters are being handed over to 75,000 newly appointed appointees during the function.
“This is an important step towards fulfilling the prime minister’s continued commitment to provide employment opportunities for the youth and ensure the welfare of citizens,” a PMO statement said. The recruitment will be included in 38 ministries/ departments of the Government of India.
“The appointments will join the government at various levels such as Group-A, Group-B (Gazetted), Group-B (Non-Gazetted) and Group-C. The posts where appointments are being made include Central Armed Forces Personnel, Deputy. Inspector, Constable, LDC, Steno, PA, Income Tax Inspector, MTS, others,” the PMO statement said.
These recruitments are being done in mission mode either by ministries and departments either on their own or through recruitment agencies like UPSC, SSC and Railway Recruitment Board. “For faster recruitment, selection procedures have been simplified and made tech-enabled,” the statement concluded.
