Maple Ridge RCMP is appealing to the public for more information following a sexual assault investigation that began earlier this year that has led to charges now being laid against a suspect.

In February this year Maple Ridge RCMP  were advised of an alleged sexual assault involving a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT), working in that capacity, and a youth that occurred at a massage therapy clinic in Maple Ridge in December 2025.

Frontline officers conducted an investigation and later arrested the male suspect.

Christian Aquilizan, 39 years old, from Vancouver, has now been charged with two counts of Sexual Assault, under Section 271 of the Criminal Code.

His next court appearance is scheduled for July 8.

While the investigation is ongoing, police believe that there may be other people within the community who have information that could advance the investigation who have not yet come forward.
