New Delhi: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led BJP over the Odisha train tragedy during his ongoing tour in US.

Gandhi said that Modi government they never talk about the future and always blame someone else in the past for their failures. Rahul Gandhi, who is on a visit to the US, was addressing the Indian diaspora at the Javits Center.

He observed a 60-second silence for the victims of the Odisha train accident. More than 270 people have died in the Odisha train accident. There have been demands from some quarters for the resignation of Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw.

“I remember a train accident, but the Congress did not say that the train accident happened due to the fault of the British. So that’s the problem in our house, we make excuses and we are not accepting the reality we are facing,” Gandhi said, without naming the minister.

He said the BJP and the RSS were incapable of seeing the future. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi also said, “PM Modi is trying to drive the car by looking at the rearview mirror, yet he does not understand why this car is crashing, not moving.”

He said that the BJP and the RSS are incapable of seeing the future because they never talk about the future, they only talk about the past and they will always blame someone else for the past,” Gandhi said, adding that there is a fight going on in India between two ideologies – one represented by the Congress and the other by the BJP and the RSS.
