Amritsar: A clash between the two groups at the Gurdwara Sahib in Faridkot, Punjab occurred and its video has now gone viral on the social media on Saturday.
According to the information, in Faridkot, there was a dispute between the management of the Gurdwara Committee over the chairmanship. During this time, heated argument exchanged and later a clash broke out between them. They attacked each other with kirpans as well.
A couple was also reportedly injured in the middle of the brawl. On this occasion, no attention was paid to the ‘Maryada’ (dignity) of the Gurdwara Sahib as the clash occurred in the presence of Sri Guru Granth Sahib.
During this time, the turbans of many Sikhs were also tossed out. The debate turned into a scuffle when there was talk about the election of the president, which objected by the current committee of the Gurdwara Sahib and the former committee.
Jathedar Sri Akal Takht Sahib Giani Harpreet Singh also took strong note of the incident and directed the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) to immediately investigate the matter and submit a report.
