Vancouver: Vancouver Police have released a list of 10 suspects most wanted in connection with a music breakout festival riot at the PNE Amphitheatre in mid-September.
Police said that rioters caused over $300,000 damage to the PNE on Sept 18, after the last-minute cancellation of a headline act at the Breakout Festival.
Vancouver Police said that they identified the rioters after a throughout probe of six weeks through videos from social media, and analyzing tips as well as evidence submitted by the public.
Inspector Dale Weidman, officer in charge of VPD’s Major Crime Section said that police identify its 10 most wanted rioters and they are now asking for help to identify these suspects so they can continue to hold them accountable.
“These pictures represent our top 10 suspects – those who engaged in some of the most dangerous and destructive behavior,” says Inspector Weidman, who adds that photos of additional suspects will be released as the investigation continues,” the Vancouver police said.
