California: The suspect in the murder of four members of a Sikh family in the US earlier worked for the family and had an old dispute with them, police said.
Merced County Sheriff Office said that this evening, Jesus Manuel Salgado, the suspect in the kidnapping and murder of Aroohi Dheri, Jasleen Kaur, Jasdeep Singh, and Amandeep Singh, was booked into the Merced County Jail. He was arrested for four counts of murder and four counts of kidnapping. Our Detectives, a investigators from assisting agencies, will continue to follow up on any leads of additional people who may have been involved in this horrific incident.
Police said that the suspect had earlier worked for the family. The relatives of the slain Sikh family are deeply shocked and saddened by the incident, police said.
The investigating team has prepared a case against him and a search is on for his accomplice. The accused has already been convicted in a case.

Police said that the family of the victims has asked us to clarify that they are not asking for donations or seeking any assistance at this time. There is no GoFundMe account or any other donation links set up. If that changes, the Merced County Sheriff’s Office will be the one to announce that. They greatly appreciate everyone’s willingness to help the family, but at this time they ask for privacy so they can grieve and process what has taken place.
