New Delhi: Senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Monday made sharp remarks about PM Modi and Gautam Adani during the discussion on the President’s address in the Lok Sabha. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has now retaliated to that statement of Rahul Gandhi.
Senior BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad has held a press conference regarding Rahul Gandhi’s speech in Parliament and termed Rahul Gandhi’s statement ‘very shameful’.
He said, “All his allegations are baseless. We were hoping that Rahul Gandhi would take care of dignity during the discussion on the President’s address, but the shamelessness with which he has made the allegations, it is necessary that the truth of him and his family is also brought out.”
Ravi Shankar Prasad said during the press conference that all the allegations made by Rahul Gandhi are wrong. Whether it is about Sri Lanka or India, everything has happened under the rules and it has happened in many states too.
“I think Rahul Gandhi needs to fix his memory. Let me remind you that you and your mother are on bail. Your brother-in-law is also on bail.”
Lashing out at Congress, he questioned Gandhi, “Rahul Gandhi, you should answer what is the National Herald scandal. A loan of Rs 90 crore was written off and all the shares of an old well-none newspaper like the National Herald came to you. Whether Delhi or Lucknow or Mumbai, thousands of properties have come to you and your mother everywhere.
You went to the High Court, what happened, failed.”
He said that today you are going to face the trial. The National Herald case is not the only such case.
There is also a case of Rajiv Gandhi Trust. In Amethi, where more than one and a half bighas of land was taken, nothing work was done, it was also recovered by CM Yogi’s government.
