Ottawa: Prime Minister Justin Trudeau re-established a cabinet committee that will focus on critical Canada-U.S. issues. This committee came into existence after the victory of Donald Trump in the recent U.S. presidential elections. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Chrystia Freeland, will be its chair, while Minister of Public Safety, Democratic Institutions and Intergovernmental Affairs, Dominic LeBlanc, will be the vice-chair of this committee. In addition, Anita Anand, Bill Blair, François-Philippe Champagne, Mélanie Joly, Lawrence MacAulay, Marc Miller, Mary Ng, Harjit S. Sajjan, and Jonathan Wilkinson will play their part as the members of the cabinet committee.
