Premier Justin Trudeau says he will be isolated for five days after being exposed to a person who test positive for the COVID-19 virus.
Trudeau tweeted Thursday morning that he learned about the exposure Wednesday evening.
He has taken a rapid test and it came back negative, and so he will continue to work from home and follow Ottawa Public Health.
Last night, I learned that I have been exposed to COVID-19. My rapid test result was negative. I am following @OttawaHealth rules and isolating for five days. I feel fine and will be working from home. Stay safe, everyone – and please get vaccinated.
