Toronto: A 27-year-old man was injured in a shooting incident near downtown Toronto on Tuesday evening and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
Toronto police were received information that shooting took place in the area of Portland and Stewart streets, south of King Street West, at 5:15 p.m.
One person was rushed to the hospital by an emergency run after he was shot in the abdomen. Police are yet to ascertain at which location the shooting actually took place.
Duty Inspector Jason Albanese said in an update on Tuesday night that we do not have any information about suspect at the moment.
He said that the area is being thoroughly searched by the investigators.
