There are more than a dozen schools reported for covid-19 exposures in Surrey, officials send out exposure notices to 16 different Schools and Elementaries.
An “exposure event” is defined on the health authority’s website as “a single person with lab-confirmed COVID-19 infection who attended school during their infectious period.”

The majority of the Covid-19 cases are reported in the Fraser Health region in BC.
The idea of closing schools early in the winter has been raised, Dr. Bonnie Henry acknowledged there are other factors which need to be considered.
