Sydney: Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed 20,000 people of Indian origin at the Olympic Park in Sydney on Tuesday.

Addressing the gathering in Sydney, PM Modi, “I want to ask you something, will you? I am asking and appealing to you that whenever you come to India, bring an Australian friend or their family with you. This will give them a chance to know and understand India. Stay healthy, live happily. Thank you all.”

He said that the biggest foundation of India-Australia relations today is “mutual trust and mutual respect” and it has not developed just from the diplomatic ties between the two countries. He said that ‘Masterchef and cricket’ unite the bond between India and Australia.

Modi said that India is the mother of democracy and he ended his speech with ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’.

Arriving to attend the event in a special flight named Modi Airways, 170 people wore clothes painted in the color of the tricolor. This group has reached Sydney from Melbourne.

Earlier, the Australian Prime Minister said that he received a request from a large number of people to attend today’s program, which is not possible for him to fulfill.
