Gandhinagar: The Gujarat ATS has arrested four persons for issuing fake passports and visas to Canadian candidates and claimed to have busted a fake international racket.

Four persons have been arrested from New Naroda area of Ahmedabad city in connection with the case. According to the details received, the Gujarat ATS had received the information that a scam was going on on fake visas in Ahmedabad.

After this, the Gujarat ATS started the investigation and arrested accused after seizing five passports from them. These people made fake visas to send people to Canada, police said.

A case of fake visa racket was already registered in Rajasthan against main accused Nilesh Pandya. The accused was arrested from Kalupur post station in 2005 in connection with the fake currency case.

Many people from the new Naroda area have gone abroad by fake visas., These people have either returned or settled there, Gujarat ATS said adding that these will be identified now.
