Chandigarh: Former Punjab Congress minister Brahm Mahindra arrived at the Vigilance Office today and was questioned in the disproportionate assets case.
Earlier, three notices were sent to Brahm Mahindra at different times for questioning by the vigilance investigation team, but he could not appear citing his health issues.
Earlier, a petition was filed by Brahm Mahindra before the Vigilance Commission and described the action being taken by the vigilance against him as wrong. The investigation team was also asked to consider the action.
The Punjab Vigilance has so far taken legal action against former minister Sadhu Singh Dharamsot, former minister Bharat Bhushan Ashu, former minister Sangat Singh Gilzian and former minister Sunder Sham Arora.
Senior Congress leader Brahm Mohindra is now being investigated in the disproportionate assets case. The accused Congress leader Bharat Bhushan Ashu has been in jail since his arrest.
