Indonesia: Chinese President Xi Jinping today accused Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau of leaking informal talks details to the media during a meeting on the sidelines of the G-20 summit and termed it ‘inappropriate’.

Xi Jinping also accused Trudeau of sabotaging diplomatic relations.

The talks between the two leaders were underway on Wednesday at an event on the sidelines of the G20 summit and the media was also there to cover the short meeting.

During this time, Xi told Trudeau through his interpreter that whatever we share with each other reaches the media, it is not right. There is no conversation like this. If you are so serious about talks between the two sides, it should not happen.

“We support open dialogue and we will continue to do so,” Trudeau said. We want to continue to talk in a constructive manner but there are many things that we will not agree with.

Responding to this, Xi said that we first set the conditions for talks. After this brief conversation, the two leaders shook hands and parted ways.
