Canada: A recent survey by Deloitte Canada shows that Canadians plan to spend an average of $1,478 on holiday shopping this year, which is 10% more than last year’s spending but still lower than in previous years. Many consumers intend to wait for Black Friday, believing it offers the best deals. Charitable donations are expected to increase by 35%, and travel spending is likely to rise by 20%.

Most Canadians will shop online, with 71% using Amazon, while some are turning to platforms like Temu and Shein. However, many shoppers are concerned about data breaches and their financial situations, with a third worried about affording holiday gifts and managing credit card debt.
