Toronto: The Holton police said that man found in a burning car in Burlington on Sunday morning is being investigated as suspicious death.
Police and firefighters were called to Dundas Street West on Triman Road at 3:30 a.m. In a statement, police said emergency staff found the body of a man in the vehicle after the fire was doused. The case is being investigated by the Homicide Unit after the case is found to be suspicious.
The vehicle has been taken to the Center of Forensic Sciences in Toronto for further investigation. It is here that the vehicle will be thoroughly examined and the identity of the deceased person will be identified.
Police said they were trying to speak to anyone who had witnessed the incident or who was in the Dundas Street between Bront Road and Applebay Line at the time of the incident. The police have also appealed to the people that if anyone has dashcam footage of this incident, he can also contact them.
