New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has praised the Aam Aadmi Party government in Punjab, saying that while other governments across the country are recruiting contractual employees by eliminating permanent government jobs, the AAP government in Punjab has started regularising contractual workers. “Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann had made a very big announcement on Teachers’ Day on September 5. This announcement is very important not only for Punjab but for the entire country and for the economy. He had announced to confirm 8736 contractual teachers. This is happening for the first time in the country,” Kejriwal said in a video message.

“The wind is blowing all over the country that finish government jobs, do not recruit in government posts and replace them with contractual employees and their entire life is spent as contractual employees. For the first time in the entire country, the government of Bhagwant Mann has regularised 8736 teachers. Mann Sahib’s government is working on regularizing there are more contractual employees in Punjab,” he said.

He said that when the Indian economy is growing, the economy of every state is growing, then the government job should also increase, how can it be reduced. But there is a pattern going on that contractual workers are being brought in by terminating government jobs

People’s perception of permanent employees wrong: Kejriwal

“There is a perception that permanent employees do not work, it is absolutely wrong. Inside Delhi, we showed that the education revolution came because of the same pucca teachers and guest teachers.

The CM said that earlier these teachers were defamed in Delhi, it was said that teachers do not study in government schools, teachers come, sitting under the tree, women keep weaving sweaters, the same teacher showed the education revolution. Our same government doctors, medical staff have done wonders, so it is wrong to say that permanent employees do not work.
