Chandigarh: Two days after the attack on Ajnala police station in Amritsar, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann lashed out at Amritpal Singh, head of the Waris Punjab De.

Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann in a tweet wrote, “Those cannot be called ‘Waris’ of Punjab and Punjabiyat from any side who takes Sri Guru Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji to the police station as a shield.”

After this tweet of CM Bhagwant Mann, political parties of the entire state seem to be united against Amritpal over this issue.

On Friday, DGP Punjab had clarified that it was not difficult to control the crowd, but Amritpal Singh did a heinous act under the guise of Sri Guru Granth Sahib. As a result, the policemen had to bear the blows of sticks and swords in honor of Sri Guru Granth Sahib.

Amritpal has always been advocating Khalistan by putting religion in the forefront. In this tweet, CM Bhagwant Mann has also attacked Amritpal Singh by putting religion ahead. With this, individuals associated with Sikhism and political parties agree, a senior AAP leader said.

Actually, talking about Amritpal Singh’s organization, founder Deep Sidhu named him ‘Waris Punjab De’. Amritpal is also repeatedly raising the demand for Khalistan, calling himself the Waris of Punjab.
