New Delhi: A case of gruesome murder of a delivery boy for iPhone has come to light in Karnataka. The incident took place in Hassan, Karnataka.
A 20-year-old man committed the murder because he did not have money to buy iphone. The police have arrested the accused.
According to the police, the accused kept the body of the delivery boy in the house for 3 days. He then threw the body on the side of the railway station and tried to burn it.
Police said that accused Hemant Dutta wanted to buy a mobile, but he did not have money. For this, the accused made a plan. He ordered the first iPhone from Flipkart. On February 7, when the 23-year-old delivery boy reached the accused’s house for mobile delivery, the accused asked him to wait.
After some time, Hemant called him inside and attacked him with a sharp weapon, killing him on the spot. Police recovered the body of the deceased near Ankkoppal railway station in Arsikere town on February 11, police said.
The accused had ordered an online second-hand iPhone worth Rs 46,000, police said on Sunday. The responsibility of delivering this order was given to E-Kart’s delivery boy Hemant Naik. E-Kart is flipkart’s parent company.
