Toronto: A woman was seriously injured and a man has been taken into custody in a night-time stabbing incident at a condo in Toronto’s Fort York area, police said today.
Around 1:30 a.m. on Tuesday, police were called to the residential building at Fleet and Bastion streets, near Lake Shore Boulevard and Bathurst Street. Police said a woman and a man got into an argument over something and in a fit of rage, the man stabbed the woman multiple times with a knife. The woman was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The attacker fled from the spot but was nabbed soon after. He was also taken to the hospital for treatment and was treated for minor injuries. The matter is being investigated, police said.
