Jalandhar: The body of an unidentified person was found in a suitcase outside Jalandhar City railway station today.
The body was packed in a red suitcase and was lying near the main gate of the city station.
After receiving the information, police officers reached the spot with the force and started investigating.
On Tuesday morning, a person working at the station spotted a suitcase lying there, but when no one came for a long time to take the suitcase, he went to the suitcase. He saw something suspicious in the suitcase.
He immediately rushed to the policemen posted at the station and told them about the suitcase lying unattended.
The body in the suitcase is yet to be identified. Dog squad was also called to the spot.
Police have also taken possession of footage from CCTV cameras installed around the station. Police have scanned the footage and started identifying those who threw the body in a suitcase outside the city railway station.
