New Delhi: NIA team is conducting raids across the country. The NIA raids are going on in 10 states including 50 places in Kerala today. Apart from this, raids have also been conducted in the rest of the states of the country. This entire action is going on in connection with the terror funding case related to PFI.
These raids are going on in areas like Manjeri, Mallapuram. These raids are being done on a very large scale in Kerala. The special thing is that an ED team is also present in this raid with the NIA.
It is being told that the NIA has arrested more than 100 PFI officials and activists so far. Earlier, the NIA had conducted raids in Bihar and Telangana. This raid was also done in this case. The scope of this raid can increase further, officials said.
After taking the lead from Kerala, the NIA can also raid other offices of PFI. At present, this action is going on in 10 states in which arrests are being made on a large scale.
PFI officials have been arrested from Kerala, Karnataka, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Delhi, UP, MP and Maharashtra. Some people were also detained from Assam.
NIA reaches PFI chairman’s house
In this raid of NIA, the locations of all PFI officers are being raided. In this, the house of PFI Chairman Oma Salam has also been raided in Manjeri, Kerala. It has been told that these raids started late at night and are still going on. This includes all the small and big offices of PFI. As soon as the news of this raid is received, PFI activists are also protesting against it.
Arrests from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana too
Earlier, the NIA had carried out simultaneous raids at several places in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. During this time, raids were conducted at about 40 places, in which some people were arrested.
Several digital devices, documents and cash were recovered during the raids, the NIA said. The interrogation of those detained was also many. It is believed that on the basis of interrogation, raids are now being conducted in Kerala and other places.
