Toronto: A 73-year-old woman died after she was struck by a driver in the area of Dundas Street West and Spadina Avenue, Toronto police said.
According to the police the incident occurred when the woman was walking westbound on Dundas Street West in the eastern pedestrian crosswalk and a 56-year-old man was driving a 2020 Ford RMG commercial van westbound on Dundas Street West, in the curb lane, approaching Spadina Avenue
the driver made a right hand turn northbound to Spadina Avenue.
According to the information, police were called on Monday, at approximately 11:18 a.m., reporting a collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian at Dundas Street West and Spadina Avenue.
Police said that after reaching the spot, investigating teams found the woman was dead at the scene while the driver remained on scene.
The further investigation is underway and no more information has been released by the police.
