Navtej Singh Sidhu is the first traffic reporter to serve the South Asian community. As a dedicated listener of the station and a truck driver, he often called in with the latest traffic updates. He was hired on in 2002 and has been with Sher-E-Punjab radio ever since.
Although Navtej describes himself as a workaholic, he does take time out of his busy schedule to watch hockey and cricket. He is also an avid fan of kabaddi and loves to attend live tournaments. His favourite television shows include America’s Got Talent, Jerry Springer and Judge Judy. He enjoys trying new foods and among his favourtie dishes are chilli chicken, sweet and sour pork and makki di roti with saag.
Navtej was born in Moga in the Punjab and attained his Bachelor of Arts from Guru Tegh Bahadar Garh Polytechnic College. He immigrated to Canada in 1998.
